Do you know what is mechanical equilibrium and thermal equilibrium? let us understand about this topic on this post and I tried to explain in simple manner..
First of all lets understand about what is equilibrium:
Equilibrium is properties of the system which are uniform and only one value can be assigned to it. in other word equilibrium means a state of balance.
Now let us understand about what is Mechanical equilibrium:
It means there is no unbalanced force acting. in other words there is no pressure gradient within the system. and pressure should be same or constant.
What is Thermal equilibrium?:
Systems are said to be in thermal equilibrium if the temperature of the system is uniform or same.
and should not be changed with time.
